All Cisco Networking Academy students are encouraged to registerbetween August 15-September 15, 2011 for a chance to win great prizes, including a trip to Cisco’s worldwide headquarters in San Jose, California.
Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders is a great opportunity to showcase your IT/Networking skills and gain visibility among talent recruiters in the growing ICT and networking field.
The competition is organized by Cisco to present an opportunity for Networking Academy students to participate in a valuable learning experience with peers and friends from other countries. Last year, over 10,000 students competed in NetRiders events in over 80 countries across the globe.
The 2011 NetRiders Latin America and Caribbean skills competition is open to all Cisco Networking Academy students currently enrolled (or within 9 months of having been enrolled) in a CCNA (Discovery or Exploration) course by the competition start date. (NOTE: must also be at least 18 years of age by December 31, 2011).
The NetRiders competition is divided in three (3) phases, with recognition and prizes offered at the various stages, including:
NOTE: To register for NetRiders, students must first obtain an Enrollment Key from their instructor. Instructors can send an email to request the key from NetRiders administrators or contact their Cisco Academy Training Center (CATC).
The Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders 2011 Latin America and The Caribbean Competition (the “Competition”) begins August 15, 2011 at 6:00 a.m. and ends October 25, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (“Competition Period”). All times listed in these official rules are set in Buenos Aires, Argentina time (UTC/GMT -3 hours) 4:00 a.m Colombia Time. The Competition is sponsored by Cisco Systems, Inc., 170 West Tasman Drive, San Jose, CA 95134, United States of America (“Sponsor”).
Contestants must receive an enrolment key from their Networking Academy Instructor (“Instructor”), pre-register and may be required to download certain software in order to compete in the Competition.
Top 5 scores per each participating academy are invited to move to Round Two and receive a downloadable electronic Certificate of Participation (must achieve minimum score of 60%).
Top Score from each country wins $50 (USD) Visa Gift Card. In addition, one individual from the top 25 scoring academies per region (See Terms and Conditions for list of regions) advance to Phase 3 and receive customized Certificate of Participation.
Top score from each of the 4 regions win a One Week Study Trip to San Jose, California, USA to visit Cisco’s Headquarters January 8-14, 2012 (see Rules for details). A total of four students will win the Study Trip Prize.
